Peterborough Community Center, 25 Elm St. Peterborough, NH 03458
Join us for the first Monadnock Clean Energy Fair on Saturday, September 30! Organized by the Monadnock Sustainability Hub and the Peterborough Renewable Energy Project (PREP), the Fair is a free event featuring exhibits by regional businesses specializing in heat pumps, weatherization, solar panels, ADUs (accessory dwelling units) and more.
Indoors you can meet with exhibitors from 20 businesses, non-profits and community groups – plus the organizers, MSH and PREP. The vendors offer building energy audits and weatherization, heating with heat pumps or wood products, and solar installations.
Outside, for some plug-in fun, visit the Drive/Ride Electric Expo to explore 14+ different EVs – hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and light trucks – and talk with their owners. Meet with Chief Brent Wilmot of the Claremont Police Department, showing off their Ford F-150 Lightning, used in patrols and for other police needs. There will be e-bikes, e- mowers and other e-tools on display by their owners, who can answer your questions. You can also talk with a representative of Green Wave Electric Vehicles, our Gold sponsor, which sells exclusively pre-owned EVs.
For those who want to learn more about making home energy upgrades and how to pay for them, the Fair will offer 2 free workshops, one on heat pumps and one on energy-related rebates, discounts, and tax credits.
Kids will have fun driving the kid-size John Deere EV and at the facepainting booth and everyone can enjoy Frisky Cow Gelato! We hope to see you there!
